Fausto Romitelli

Fausto Romitelli (1963-2004), this Italian composer, despite his premature death, is one of the most intriguing artists of the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st century. After graduating from Milan Conservatory and his stay in Paris (IRCAM) he developed his unique style, formed by his tendency towards romantic expression, sensitivity to sounds and interests in techno and rock music. The most significant works by Romitelli include the chamber cycle Domeniche alla periferio dell’impero and the Professor Bad Trip trilogy: Lessons I-III for instrumental band and electronics, orchestral Dead City Radio. Audiodrome and the video opera An Index of Metals.
