Wolfgang Suppan

Wolfgang Suppan (born 1966) studied in Vienna with Michael Jarrell and Dieter Kaufmann, and then further developed his skills, for instance in Paris IRCAM. His works have been presented at festivals in Vienna, Salzburg, Berlin and Zagreb. He mainly composes chamber and solo works, often complemented by voice and electronics. He admits to being inspired by computer-aided forms of composition and Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s philosophy (instrumental Idyllen I-IV).
