We would like to invite you to participate in the Ringtone Festival – an event accompanying the IV edition of the Musica Electronica Nova festival.
The first edition of the Ringtone Festival took place in 2004 and was met with great interest. The festival website was visited not only by viewers from all over Poland, but also from other countries, from near and afar: from Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands, to Belarus and Romania, to the USA, Canada and Australia. Among the composers participating in the festival were Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki, Wojciech Kilar, Hanna Kulenty, plus many more. The unusual format contributed to popularising the music of contemporary composers and music in general.
I would like to ask you to compose a ringtone or agree to the use of a short fragment of your work. The ringtones will be presented from May 10-25 2011 at the Musica Electronica Nova festival website and made available for free download by visitors to the site. The sole aim of the festival is to promote contemporary electronic music among a wide range of listeners.
