Anna Petrini – has established herself as a musician in both contemporary music and early music, enjoying equal success both fields. She received her Master’s degree at the Royal University College of Music in Stockholm were she studied with prof. Dan Laurin. Thanks to support from the Swedish Music Academy, she furthered her studies at the Conservatory van Amsterdam with Walter van Hauwe, and it was here that her career in contemporary music was fostered. Alongside her numerous awards from the Swedish Arts Grants Comittee, and the Swedish Music Academy she received the concert prize in the Van Wassenaer Competition for Early Music, Holland, with ensemble La Soave Melodia in 2004, and with ensemble Trio Stravaganti she won the first prize in Swedish competition „Ung och Lovande 2007”
Anna’s dual career in both fields of music has led to her performing in festivals and venues such as the Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, Casa da Musica in Porto, Bath International Music Festival, Grandezze & Meraviglie in Modena, Stockholm Early Music Festival, ISCM World New Music Days 2010 in Sweden.
